not fully awake
not sleeping soundly
head full of dreams and wishes
with no hope of coming true

my weekend is empty

saturday is dragging it's heels
crawling as slowly as possible
teasing me, taunting me
i won't be happy til monday
sunday is still a half hour away
i know it will drag as well
weekends take too long

sunday is already taking forever
my mind is racing
and time is crawling

after midnight, monday already
but not monday enough
still 4 hours to wait
wait and think

hope i haven't said too much

i used to have a Garfield mentality "I hate Mondays"
now it's my favorite day of the week
i used to try to sleep til 8 every morning
now i wake up before 5 am
i used to be short tempered
well, i still am somewhat, but not as bad
it's finally monday enough
i'm happy
for now
